As we are approaching the celebration of Thanksgiving Day, I was thinking about how appreciative I am of my team.  It really is a blessing to work with individuals who believe in you and desire to see you succeed.  I thought I would share the characteristics I feel my team possesses.

Characteristics of a Great Team:

1. They believe in your vision and mission.  Sharing the vision and mission of my company has been very important when I made a connection with each team member.  I wanted to make sure that they understood it, so they could decide if it matched their own values.
2. They have a spirit of excellence.  My goal has always been to purposefully deliver an event with excellence.  To pursue and practice giving my best.  A great team will give their best.
3. They are teachable.  Learning new skills or improving my craft is a ongoing goal and focus for me.  I see that same desire in my team.
4. They are willing to work hard to complete their assigned task.  Whether it’s setting up and breakdown, following up, or putting together favors, it’s important to put forth the effort and time to getting the job done.
5. They promote you.  It’s a great feeling to know that your team wants to see your business increase.  They are willing to refer you to the people they know because they like, trust, and are proud to work with you.

I must say that I am honored to have a great team to work with!  Dominique, Yolanda, Keesha & Larissa along with past Interns…THANK YOU for all of your hard work!  Ladies, you are AWESOME!
