For the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking about the concept of “Modern” and what that can mean to a Bride. It is a style that can vary from person to person based on how they envision it. I thought I would share some ideas based on the definition of modern and how to apply it to a wedding. Let’s start with the dictionaries definition and then go into elements for a Modern Wedding.
Modern – The characteristics of present and recent time; not antiquated or obsolete, rejects traditions.
8 Fun Tips to add a Modern Concept to your Wedding

- Bridesmaids Dress: Think about having your Bridesmaids where a White, Tan, Neutral color dress.
- Brooch Bouquet: Instead of a Floral bouquet, have your bouquet created out of brooches and sparkle.
- Switch up the Reception Order: The 1st Dance does not have to be in the beginning of the reception. It’s okay to change the reception flow to throw your guests off from the traditional format.
- Blended Family Dance: If you are blending families i.e. children, add a Family Dance. You could even add a Mother, Daughter, and Sister (s) Dance together.
