What does a wedding planner do? Each wedding is different and may require a wedding planner to provide a different service based on the needs. The process normally begins with a Wedding Consultation to assess the needs. The service will vary from full planning, partial planning, or month of coordination, which is determined at the consultation. Some wedding planners offer wedding design and others will subcontract or refer an even designer for your wedding.
With full planning, the wedding planner is in constant contact with the bride and groom. The tasks can include assisting with the selection of vendors and venues, providing a monthly to do list, design planning, creating and managing the wedding day itinerary, coordination of set up and tear down, cueing all activities of the ceremony and reception on the wedding day.
For month of coordination, we work with the bride and groom after their planning has been complete to make sure their wedding day is executed with excellence. In this instance, the bride and groom handle all of the planning, selections, meetings, to do list, and then work with the Wedding Coordinator a month before the wedding date to pull all the details together.
The Big Day! On the special day, whether full planning or month of is selected, we focus on making sure everything runs smoothly and that all details are taken care of. We work closely with the venue and every vendor, manage the itinerary, handle emergencies, assist the bride, and simply make sure the day is amazing for the bride and groom.
The wedding planning process poses so many decisions for the Bride and Groom. From which venue to select, vendors to work with, narrowing down your style and wedding design, managing the budget, to making sure the day runs smoothly. It is truly a detailed step by step process of decisions, but it brings me great joy to work with the Bride and Groom to help them bring their vision to life. Whether we are a part of the full planning process or assist the month before, it is a pleasure to see the final product come together and share in the bride and groom’s joyous special occasion!
