Nishaka Proctor and her Events by Nishaka team were an absolute dream to work with! From the moment I met Nishaka, I knew she would the perfect fit for my wedding. Her spirit is so genuine and her passion for weddings – and people in general – is evident throughout the entire process.  She understood my vision and was able to build from my ideas to help create the wedding of my dreams. She takes all of the late night text messages and constant meetings and bridal fittings in stride and really goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and stress-free at all times. To be honest, I don’t know how I would have been able to pull off my wedding without her. Throughout the planning process she communicated with all the vendors and during the rehearsal she made sure the wedding party was focused and knew exactly what was expected of them on the wedding day. Furthermore, she stressed the importance of my husband and I remaining stress-free and made sure any issues that arose went directly to her.  As someone who has a reputation for being picky and a bit of a control freak, the thought of being calm on one of the most important days of my life was almost unnerving. At one point I snuck out of my bridal suite to see how things were going, and just as I suspected, everything was completely under control. I am eternally grateful to Nishaka for helping to create the best day ever. Not only was she my wedding planner, but she also became my friend. My advice to any bride that is considering hiring a wedding planner is, do it! It will be the best decision you will ever make. Your nerves (and everyone around you) will thank you! It also doesn’t hurt to have someone side with you when your groom is not agreeing with your vision (LOL)!  Nishaka is one of the best at what she does and I would recommend her to any bride looking for a wedding planner. Her dedication and flawless execution is unparalleled. I am so thankful to have met her.
