My adventure with Nishaka began in September 15, 2016.  I remember it as if it was yesterday… My sister, Courtney, and I were discussing my upcoming nuptials and I was adamant about having a planner, but I wanted someone with experience, someone I could connect to and see my vision.  Courtney pulled up pictures of another friend we knew, Ryen, she explained that Nishaka Proctor, was her planner.  On the pictures alone I was READY to call! The very next day I call Nishaka, as soon as I heard her voice my spirit eased and I knew she was the planner for me.  Her expertise and genuine excitement for me poured through the phone.  Nishaka and I set up a meeting in the upcoming days.  I immediately told my fiancé, I have our planner!  When I walked into Panera on Wendover, I cannot express the emotions that I was fled with, nervousness, anxiety and eagerness.  Nishaka greeted me with the warmest smile and embrace!  My nervousness immediately left me, as I felt at peace.  We sat down and Nishaka asked me to tell her my Love story.  We instantly clicked over this conversation I knew my special, sacred day was in the best of hands.  All I knew was, I wanted Nishaka and no one else.  Over the next months, Nishaka encouraged, supported, listened and guided me to the perfection that was my wedding day.  I knew that I could call, email, text, smoke signal if necessary to reach Nishaka.  She was my voice of reason, not only did she see my vision she understood my husband and his vision as well.  Nishaka made our wedding day the most romantic scene I have ever witnessed.  We wanted all of our guest to step into our Love Story and Nishaka made that happen.

I wanted Nishaka at every meeting that I could possibly have her at.  I wanted to pick her brain and relied on her expertise to ensure I was making sound decisions.  I wanted to ensure that my thoughts and ideas were not all over the place for the wedding.  I asked Nishaka to help keep me reeled in to keep my vision in line with each and every detail of the wedding. Her expertise was essential in each and every part of our wedding. Nishaka is very business oriented and connected to vendors and provided me with options on vendors to use across the state.  Nishaka listened to my desires and did not disappoint with each vendor that she brought to the table.  They were each a perfect fit that helped in the execution of the vision.

Throughout the entire process I was flooded with emotions.  In the beginning it was excitement for the planning process as the months grew closer anxiety began to set in, with the desire for the perfect day and maybe nervousness for anything that could go wrong.  At each of these moments Nishaka was there reassuring me that everything was going to be perfect and that we would navigate through any hiccups.  Nishaka also helped us to realize this was our day and she would do everything we wanted to make our day unique and a true representation of Phillip and I.  I can remember in the meetings in the beginning I was excited yet wanting the process to move quicker, Nishaka told me it would move fast later in the process.  Then I can remember when we were about 4 months out, I felt so overwhelmed,  I asked Nishaka where the time went…I needed MORE..LOL  Nishaka kept me on task, getting things accomplished and checking in with me to ensure I was managing through each moment.  I always knew where we were in the process and what was coming next.  I felt comfortable that Nishaka was available to me, whether it was a late night meeting or first thing in the morning, this made me feel special, as if I was her only Bride.  Although, I knew I wasn’t, Nishaka has a way of making you feel you that you are her priority, and your day will be flawless.

On the actual Wedding Weekend, I cannot express the emotion that I felt.  We arrived on site and  anxiety was higher than ever.  Nishaka greeted me with a smile and I could feel the anxiety leave my body. As the Rehearsal began I could see Nishaka switch into Wedding Mode, all of her team was present and taking direction, Nishaka was leading each person and keeping us on schedule.  At that very moment every worry about the actual execution left me.  I knew that I was in her hands, and I had absolutely no worries.  I am a total control freak and Nishaka knew how to navigate me through each of my emotions to ease me into a process where I relied completely on her to handle the job and for me to relax, enjoy our families and prepare myself to become Mrs. Davis.

When I awoke Saturday Morning(the day of the Wedding) I cannot explain the emotions I felt… somber, quiet, excited, nervous, ready, loved..just to name a few. When I saw Nishaka at breakfast her smile eased my thoughts. I remember I could not stop pacing, Nishaka and her team supported me through this time and gave me such peace and reminded me why we were there and to just breathe.  Nishaka’s, outstanding team, is beyond words.  They were everywhere! Yet never seen, I always knew that I could call on someone and magically they would appear.  We felt so fortunate to have this type of attention to detail.

As I think back through this entire process we would have been lost without Nishaka, our Planner.  Nishaka helped to guide the process based on our desire to have everyone step into our Love Story.  Nishaka coordinated and attended meetings for catering, music, florals, attire and all additional behind the scenes moves that made everything come seamlessly together.  To have an impartial voice that can be there to listen, to support and execute was unimaginable.  Nishaka and her team made planning the Wedding possible, when we had no idea where to start.  Nishaka helped take the vision in my head and make it reality. They executed each piece of my day effortlessly…managing groomsmen, bridesmaids, family, and most importantly ME.  Each piece of her team knew exactly how to support me, listen and support each task of the wedding. There was nothing I wanted that they did not complete.

Anyone who attempts to plan a wedding without a planner blows my mind. I would have been completely lost, overwhelmed and no clue where to begin.  The amount of work both directly and indirectly is unimaginable.  Having an expert like Nishaka, makes this process possible, and most importantly the most Exceptional event of your life.    Not knowing where to begin. Not knowing how to make my dreams come true, not knowing how to make our day perfection, everyone should have Nishaka, she was our saving grace, our praying angel, my confidant.  Planning with a planner who is so in tune with me made my dream a reality.  Planning with Events by Nishaka meant anything I could desire she could make happen.

The message I want to leave is that without Nishaka, we could never have accomplished this romantic, sexy, classy out of this world vision.  If you were debating getting a planner stop, It was the BEST decision on our lives! To have someone who could see the total vision and keep everyone on task is so important so that you aren’t wasting time.   Nishaka and her team are the best ever.  There isn’t an event I will put on in the future without connecting with Nishaka.
