A couple months ago, the pantone spring 2013 colors were shared for the coming new year.  It’s awesome to learn and follow the fashion trends.  The pantone colors not only give the fashion industry direction on color schemes, but it also helps Brides think through their wedding colors in the planning process.  Reference Pantone Website Here.

Emerald: 2013 Pantone Color of the Year

As I think about the colors my Brides are using for their wedding next year, the color combinations range as follows:

• Tangerine, Purple, and Tan
• Red, Black, and Silver
• Teal, Purple, and Lime Green
• Yellow, Silver, and Pewter
• Tiffany Blue, Chocolate, and Silver
• Blue, Coral, and Ivory
• and more!

I share these ideas because it still comes down to the Bride and Groom’s vision for their wedding.  Couples have to go with the colors that they love.  The colors that are their favorites.  The colors that communicate the imagery and theme that brings their day to life on the wedding day.   There was a time when wedding colors were selected only by the season and in some cases some Brides still utilize this method of selection.  Many Brides today go with their heart!   That is the best way to choose.  Of course, you want the color scheme to work well together.  Well, your Wedding Planner would be great resource to help you with that.  : )

On one hand, knowing the fashion trends are extremely helpful, but ultimately selecting your wedding colors comes down to one main concept…VISION!
