Mental Well-being: The mental state of being and how well I may be coping with life moment to moment and day to day. This is definitely a time to be willing to open yourself up to sharing with someone how this season in time is impacting your state of mental being. If you are in need of other resources like therapy, let’s look into how therapist are providing their service during this time via hotlines especially with “social distancing” practices in effect. Never be embarrassed about taking care of your mental well-being. Several years ago, for the first time, I needed to initiate the help of therapy and it was extremely important in my healing journey. #Grateful
Also, Meditation is also a calming practice to assist with anxiety one may be experiencing or desiring to still the mind in order to receive deeper insights.
Emotional Well-being: I would definitely say my emotional well-being is related to my mental well-being. How I think impacts how I feel. It is okay to share your heart on how you really feel. After you have let it all out, now refill that space with positive affirmations and I am statements. Amazing how you “hear” what you are saying to yourself and your entire “being” responds. The more you practice speaking love, life, positive messages to yourself, the stronger your emotional immune system will be!
Spiritual Well-being: Hold & practice “YOUR” personal faith close to your heart.
Physical Well-being: Many of us are aware of the benefits to exercise and eating healthier. Even with the gyms closed at this time, we can still find ways to promote and live a healthier lifestyle during this time. Find ways to Exercise via YouTube videos, trainers who are sharing workouts on their social media pages, walks and runs, etc. Drinking more water! Mix in some healthy meals during this time as well.
Financial Well-being: Working to proactively ensure that I not have enough, yet working towards having more than enough financially personally and professionally. Building a strong emergency savings fund. Building a retirement plan. Building a fund for my leisure when I need that me time to reset. There are some good Financial Advisors out there willing to provide guidance.
Wow…this time has been traumatic to families, individuals, small businesses, laborers in the service industry! Let’s make sure we share more post on how to support one another.
Thank you to those who have been sharing resources they have found and providing guidance on how to apply for those resources. Keep sharing!
Let’s absolutely be aware of the importance of following the guidelines of the city, state, and federal government to slow the spread. Let’s also have a heighten sense and alertness that people have lost their jobs, entrepreneurs could loose the business they have worked so hard to build, some individuals have the slightest idea on where the funds will come from just to even go to the grocery store and provide food for their families. My sensitivity to this is high because I am an entrepreneur and so are many of colleagues as well. My empathy is strong because I have shared real conversations with individuals who are on the verge of having zero income coming in.
As we are adhering to the call to slow the spread down, let’s be advocates of spreading more love, more empathy, more positive vibes, and sharing more inspirational messages, links to resources to improve a person or a business’s financial livelihood!
